    I peruse these forums daily and have done so for quite awhile and really get a good sense of all things blackberry from them, so thanks to all. I'm not a technical guy, I'm in sales and marketing so I don't always understand some of the terms thrown out around here. If anyone could help out with a laymans def of these acronyms it would really help me to understand more posts. Thanks and sorry to be a pain...

    An API is a library of commands that a programmer can use to perform certain tasks without having to dive into the whole thing, for example: the way a computer communicates with a printer is managed by an API so the programmer just has to tell the API to "print this" the API will take care of it and print it...
    Saves a lot of time
    (yes I know it's a simplified explanation but it's understandable )
