Why can't Blackberry better integrate the Android player into BB10 so that Android apps behave the same way on BB10 that native apps do? As an example, I've heard a lot of users complain that Android ports don't provide notifications into the hub. Why can't Blackberry just open this up so that Android ports can do this out of the box with no modifications?

Before folks jump all over me about the need for native apps, I agree. However Blackberry needs an interim solution.

So if someone likes one of your instagram posts you get a notification in the hub? Or you just get an update from 1mobile to update an app?

This is a great example of what I am referring to. I can't answer the question as I don't know personally. If the answer is yes, and all apps behave this way, then good for Blackberry. This is what they need to do IMO.

It doesn't. The android integration is in short awful l. The people on crackberry are grossly over exaggerating.
Is it getting better? Yes. But anything good? Not in your wildest dreams.

Ive instaled yandex app store, I got a notification that an app had an update, I then installed that and got another notification that the download was complete.
I admit it doesn't work like that for all the android apps tho
