Got an email this morning from RIM:

(Consumer & Organization - North America) BlackBerry Desktop Software 7 | Download Available!

    Hello,

A new download has been made available to you through BlackBerry Beta Zone! Please follow this link to sign in and download as soon as possible.

Share your feedback with us! We're listening

Please continue to use the discussion boards to share your experience with us and the other members of this program.

Thank you for your participation in BlackBerry Beta Zone!

    Sincerely,
    Wayne
    BlackBerry Beta Zone Team

If you experience any problems accessing the site or completing this download, please email us at [email protected].
Didn't see a changelog in the Beta Zone and the download for the release notes throws a "file not found" error, but this is what it says about it in the Beta Zone:

    Desktop Software 7 - Upgrade Available! (7.0.0.20)
Please upgrade to this latest version of software (7.0.0.20) as soon as possible and let us know what you think. Your participation in this beta program has been instrumental in helping us prepare the Desktop Software application for market release. As we approach our upcoming launch date targeted in the near future, your feedback is imperative to let us know if you believe this version is ready for market release and which areas need improvement. Let us know if we are meeting your needs and expectations, and how we can improve your experience – we are listening!

Due to a known issue, please remember to manually uninstall Bundle 10 of Desktop Software 7 before installing this new build (bundle 19)
    (Emphasis mine).

RIM made this one a little more difficult to get a keyless version for (they're learning ) but for some reason they didn't do the biggest thing they could to prevent it from getting leaked. So, we're leaking it.
If you have a Beta Zone account, please do log in and leave feedback.
Enough on that, get to downloading!

    Download (click the picture ):

Not sure. Hopefully a fix for outlook sync.
The OP says the release notes document isn't available and no changelog was posted by RIM.

Have they included an option to sync docs-to-go files yet?

The only thing I've noticed so far is that Backup appears to have been optimized a bit and seems to run faster. Nothing earth shaking here yet.

I like this. Doesn't seem to have an issue with changes to a recurring appointments as previous pre V7 version did.

But where is the sync log? The sync log has been an important tool to resolving failed syncs.

    Hi!!

    Am I doing something wrong?

I installed this and I still get version 6.0 2921 coming up?

I uninstalled my old desktop before I installed this...

    Any ideas?

I am also concerned whether this version is compatible with win 64bit for syncing with outlook. Previous leak was not compatble with 64bit outlook so I had to uninstall and reloaded ver 6.

Just installed on win7 64bit. syncing working with outlook 2010. This beta provides much better control over syncing with outlook. It provides preview screen to see how syncing is going to be. Great full control to user for any editing.
Only issue I faced, exiting application is taking lot of time.

Another works perfect with Win7 64bit. and DM has always been slow to load and slow to close. Gives me a chance to click on it a few more times to speed it up.

Thanks for the link Shane... Grabbed it...
Before I even waste time installing this, I wanted to know if anyone here that is part of 4 or more BB groups, has had success in restoring all groups in full after an OS upgrade or wipe???

This has been my pet peeve with all of the recent iterations, beta or officially released.

Aren't a lot of things not compatible with 64bit outlook? I remember when I installed it there was a message/warning about it.

When I use loader.exe and let it backup and restore, it usually works for me.
When I use Desktop Software, usually not, regardless of the version.

Yep. I have the same exact experience! No problems with Apploader, always a problem with DTM.
I wonder if RIM will ever make the group restore actually work for DTM?
