Blend won't do it. It turns the files into text documents. I don't want to do it directly from my phone to dropbox bc it takes forever and even with wifi, it uses my data. It won't work with USB either

What phone are you using? Does BlackBerry Link open when you connect the usb to your phone?

My approach is to connect my BlackBerry to Mac with USB cable and then access the BlackBerry phone through the "Playbook" drive icon that shows up on screen. It is basically as if the BlackBerry phone itself is an external harddrive, and I can access all files and photos on my BlackBerry phone from there and import them to my Mac and then delete them afterwards. This is my approach. Just to share it with you. I hope it will be helpful. Cheers.

That's because your BlackBerry 10 phone is encrypted. Decrypt it first and it will work.

Have you tried using Link? The file sync function should allow you to sync your pictures to your Mac when they are both on the same network.

Also, what version of OS X are you using?
