I hate saving my contacts to my sd card because it only grabs the name and first phone number. If I synch with outlook, do I really need to save my contacts to my sd card?

Aside from Outlook I usually do a full backup on BB Desktop Manager... Think your pretty safe with the backups on your computer!

I also keep my contacts in sync with my gmail account using Google Sync. The added bonus is I can get to them when I'm without my Berry.
I do that daily, but my understanding is that the BB sw doesn't back up what's on the SD card. Do I have to do that manually? And, when I'm adding contacts and saving them to my SD card, how does that get backed up? What I'm seeing is that only the name and phone number are saved. The Company name, email address, physical address are not saved. How can I save all the info for each contact onto my SD card?
Hold on...do you mean SD (Secure Digital) memory card, or do you mean SIM card (the card that your carrier uses where you can store the names and numers of people, and then slip your card into another GSM phone and have everyone's information on hand)?
Sorry, I mean my microSD card. I save contacts to it, but it doesn't save all the info for the contact, just the name and first phone number. Don't see the point of doing it at all if I synch with Outlook.
How are you saving contacts to you memory card? The BB does use the memory card for much. PIM information (including contacts) is store in device memory. Syncing with Outlook is the best way to keep a copy of your Contects.
