best sub-$50 choice for used Verizon BlackBerry?

Looking for a cheap phone for a relative on my plan. His flip thing is broken, so looking for a cheap replacement. Thing is, I'm paying $20/month for that line's service, as it's a basic phone with the $10 month-to-month discount. Getting him on a smartphone lowers me to $15/month service for mtm. I have a 10gb plan and he would almost never use data. He hates even using a cell phone. He does like a keyboard and physical send/end keys, so a BlackBerry is really the only choice.

I was thinking Tour but don't want to deal with broken/sticky trackball. Probably looking at a Bold 9650 or 9930. Any thoughts? Thanks!

I doubt you'll get a 9930 for <$50 right now. A 9650 you might.

Nope, definitely wants a physical keyboard and physical end key to hang up without looking.
