Why is there a debate about this? The Bold 9000 keyboard rocks!

It's tough adding the Pearl series into consideration, though, since you have to deal with the fact that it's not an actual QWERTY. It depends on your preferences, but for me that's a huge turn-off, so the increased key size isn't really a benefit.

I personally really like the Curve-style keys, with separation between them. It's always been the easiest for me to use. My last few BlackBerries have been in the Bold series (9700 and now 9650) and while the keys are good, I still highly prefer those on the 8320 and 8520.
Amen, hated typing on my Pearls...in general hated my pearls, well solid it felt more like a woman's phone and I was a man with big hands, but they were free, so went with it. Never had a problem with them hardware or software wise, just hated the form factor.

Preference thing for sure, but give me my 9700 or 9000 keyboard and I can bat out 50 plus words a minute!

Wrong, it's a "condensed" QWERTY but QWERTY non the less. The only difference is the larger keys making the Pearl's easier to use for those with larger hands.

I really liked the Curve 8330 keyboard but my favorite is the Bold 9650 keyboard. I hated the Pearl kb by the way.

I've tried a Pearl and as a user of large hands, I find this WRONG, as you so politely put it.

The Curve 8520 was the first BB I used and I liked the keyboard on it but I recently upgraded to a Bold 9780 and I love this keyboard.

Bold 9700 FTW. The key indentation and close spacing make typing a blur.
