I used the 7250, 8830, and now 9630. Of them all, I preferred the 7250. But for a current phone, the Tour keyboard is fine. I haven't used a Bold so I can't compare them.
The way I see it, I compare my Bold 9000 to this photo, with the small phone being all the small phones I hate.
And I say Hate because I could not type fast or efficient enough that my big fingers got in the way causing me to punch small children and kick old people off their wheel chairs.
I type really fast on the Curve but since I got the Bold, it has sort of made me slow down a little. It's not bad, I really liked the clickety clicks of the Curve.
If you can get used to it.. I would definetly have to say the Storm2 Using suretype. I have the storm and I prefer the click on it to the Storm 2.. Don't ask why. And I can type uberfast.. Faster than I do on the computer..
Pretty sure it would be the 9000, since it probably will remain the largest, physical keyboard on any BB device (unless they end up doing a landscape slider, which I hope not).
This is going to vary from user to user as much as asking "which BB is best?" There are many factors that come in to play. For YEARS, I avoided BB completely because I could not, for the life of me, get accustomed to the physical keyboards. I wanted to like 'em, I tried, I even forced myself on occasion, to use it for a week or two at a time, but there simply was no love from me. I type over 80 WPM on a regular keyboard, so I felt like I was pretty sensitive to the whole concept in general.
Then, right when the first iPhone came out, a client was showing me hers. I was impressed with the screen and asked if I could play with it (ok, let's not get in to iPhone comparisons here). It quickly became clear to me that a touchscreen approach had potential for me, though I was not a particular fan of that phone (or ATT for that matter). So, I held off and only used the keyboard on my BB when I had no other choice. Then the Storm came out and I jumped.....the keyboard on both my S1 and now my S2 makes typing relatively easy. It's not like my computer of course, but I can type lengthy emails and messages rather easily, so for me, "it's best." (for me..not for you, not for your mother/brother/father/sister/GF/BF or even BFF..just for me
I just bought a 8707v of ebay just to do me until I get my storm 2 exchanged and let me tell you, I am pretty accurate and fast on this old school thing. Quite happy typing on it.

I always liked the Pearl 8100 keyboard but that is a dated phone so of the current
production models I'd have to give the nod to the Bold 9000.
Now, when the new Pearl comes out this answer will change
I have to agree with the Pearl. I can still type faster on my old 8120 than my 9700. I'm getting better with a full QWERTY keyboard, but I'm still not as proficient as with my 8120.
