So I was a happy BIS client using my Bold for 6 months until my research centre got our BES rollin' In that time I became an OS beta and application junkie. Now since I switched over to the BES service, I can no longer ota download apps and jsut generally goof around with things the way I could in BIS mode. My IT guys are new to Blackberry as am I and I'm hoping someone can give me some pointers on how to overcome some of these draconian control measures. I'm using Bing Bang OTA BlackBerry Downloader but it is at best a crude stop-gap solution.

Its all up to what the BES admins allow or deny. Trust me, they control your device. If they dont want you downloading something you wont. If this is your own personal device opt out of being on BES and make them supply you a work phone. If its a work phone....start looking for another blackberry and get your own BIS.
