Just curious. My cousin and I both have a bold. I am extremely pleased with it's capabilities and couldn't love it more; my cousin, however, isn't as enthralled as I am. He's already loving the idea of the Storm, and really wants to pick one up... trouble is, he dropped the cash for a three year plan on his Bold. What we're both wondering though, is if he just buys the Storm by itself from Telus, and inserts his Bold SIM card, will it work?
I'm no expert on cellular technology by any means, but something tells me that a method this simple couldn't possibly work. We were just looking for a concrete answer from any of you who would know.
It will not work as Telus is a CDMA carrier and does not use sim cards like Rogers which is a GSM carrier. He would need to switch to Telus or wait for a Rogers variant (if ever)
