I had read the CB article here: Pentagon will hook up 80,000 BlackBerry devices to new system beginning on January 31 | CrackBerry.com when the article was first released and now that I read it again, I see that it was updated.
BlackBerry never once said anything about that it was all media

What they do get is a revenue stream on 80,000 devices. So Investors were never mislead.

What I find misleading is the title of this thread. From what I understand, it was not Blackberry who made that announcement.

Beginning to think those in the media need to go back to school and brush up on them darn reading skills... never notice the word sale in either the press release from DOD or BB.... oh well guess it is why I am not journalist!
The distaste for BlackBerry by whatever biased hack journalist penned that piece is so blatant that it's laughable.
After getting the story wrong the first time around you'd think they might tone it down a bit and reflect the slice of humble pie they should have indulged in for having showcased their ineptitude in the first place. Instead they chose to further demonstrate their inability to simply and accurately convey the bare facts, spin-free.
Pathetic.
