I like the new update but why the contact icon in the bottom must be changed to updates ???

Its there because by default the channels posts are put within your updates. So you have a one stop shop feed of your channels and contacts in one place.

With that being said, I have turned off updates for my channels and also wish it was contacts button instead

I only don't like the contact icon isn't on the bottom since the update, the rest i like it

I couldn't figure out why they hid the chat icon, but then noticed the "new chat" button in the top right corner. I only use the icon button to start chats so I'm starting to be okay with the change.

For me, if i want to start a chat, just compose from the hub. I rarely open bbm since the hub already takes care everything, unless i need to add a new bbm contact.

So everyone who doesn't use or want channels have an update for channels at the bottom off the screen instead of contacts that we do use . Nice to know BlackBerry hasn't changed and still does what they can to **** off their customers.

I'm with this guy and if by chance I am in the app, thanks to channels. I go directly to the chat section, mainly because if I talk to you on a regular basis I keep our chat open.

I think it is just discoverability. Before this update I never had a need to go into the overflow. Others like me might therefore never have known that Channels existed
