    Hello All,

I am using BBM app on a a Samsung Galaxy Note 3. The option to save chat history has been turned on; however, I need to know where the chats are being saved. This way if I factory reset or move to another device I can transfer the file to said device. The OS on the Samsung is Android 4.4.2. Also the device is rooted.

I don't think it works that way, the chats are saved on the BB server, and once you change device or wipe they are gone.

That's terrible. If they are saved to the BB server will tech support be able to retrieve them. Also I really do not want my saved chats to be saved to the cloud. I prefer to have them saved local on my device.

Chats are only saved for retrieval if you accidentally close a chat at the moment.
On BlackBerry backup of chats will be introduced. So it will probably also be available on Android.

Chats are not saved to the BlackBerry servers, they are saved locally to a as far as I know, not accessible directory
