actually i think they are both soft resets. a hard reset can only be done w/ bb10 phones w/ battery pulls capability.
False. Holding the power button is the same as a battery pull.

Yep! Aware of the KB article, and awaiting some BlackBerry confirmation detailing the different methods.

    Now, back on topic...
I was in Denver yesterday and Chicago today, along with BBMing around the planet both. Pretty sure this was an isolated incident and not a NOC failure.

It's apparently working in Portugal, as far as someone without any BBM use or contacts can tell. At least I can browse channels and have the logo on top...

Nope, running official 10.3. Have just done device switch from Q10. Still occurring today. May have to do a factory restore. Very odd.

Just lost my BlackBerry icon, did a soft reset and back again.
Before doing soft reset, I tried turning off network radios and back on again... no change. So soft reset is the way to go on this version. Z30STA100-3/10.3.1.1949

Chicago, VZW, Z30STA100-3/10.3.1.1949, no issues. BTW - a hard reset is done holding the top button till you see BlackBerry. Soft reset is using volume keys.

To put this to bed (sorta ), I'm not sure when the KB correction will come out, but there is a difference, and I had it completely backwards...

    Power button = soft reset
Volume keys = hard reset (mimics battery pull)

    Now, back on topic again...
Those couple with issues, y'all need to contact your carrier, or continue rebooting and driving yourselves mad, LoL.

Not working BBM. Remove the SIM card, while the Wi-Fi, but BBM does not work. Makes remote data to factory settings. Set up without a SIM card. Still see the exact same inscription entering BBM - "No BlackBerry Data".

In the upper right corner of the icon does not appear BlackBerry Data. And constantly illuminated H instead of 4G or 3G. Lit only H and E.

    Device - BlackBerry Z10 STL100-2
    Software Release - 10.2.1.3063
    OS Version - 10.2.1.3442

How do I fix this problem? Tell me please.
