I haven't been on the site or app very much so I need to know, has Blackberry abandoned BB10 as for updates and stuff? Those of us still using BB10, are we stuck with the system as it is therefore forcing us to get the new android powered devices or should I be patient and wait for a possible update? Let me know. Thanks.

BB10 is technically dead. Maintenance update only, last one was 10.3.3. Android runtime only up to 4.3.

No new BB10 handsets, all Android now.

Really depends on your usage. If you rely on a lot of Android apps, much better to upgrade to a new Android handset. If your needs are basic (calls/sms/email/bbm/pda functions), then your current phone should suffice.

Consider the platform dead, no new bb10 handsets will be ever made and if the OS will receive patches they will be miniscule.

If you already own a BB10 device, you can use it as is with it's current functionality. The current dropping prices on BB10 devices reflect it's abandoned/dying status. Save your money to buy your next device, IOS or Android.

If you like BlackBerry then checkout the KEYone and other new Androids coming out from BBMo. Avoid the PRIV and DTEK models since future OS support beyond security patches is unknown.

You can also buy other Android OEM devices and install the BlackBerry software on the device.
