on my good ol Curve (i so miss it), when i did "shuffle all" it iterated through everything and just ended.

now, while it's indeed shuffling, it's repeating songs it played an hour ago - not just doing an iteration.

that is, i'm not hearing all my songs.
and from what i can find, the music player has no settings.

    ideas?

    p.s. i tried Neutron. it's worthless.
    p.p.s. is Lastasy any good?

After you hit shuffle and listen to a few songs are you searching your song list for songs and playing them?

    nope.
listening to playlist (all files) straight through; just hitting pause.

I have also noticed this. Hardly a random shuffle is it?

Good thing BlackBerry don't run the National Lottery.

Well nothing is completely random, every bit of shuffle code I've seen is a basic algorithm; the odd +1 track here and there ect

To get around repeating, turn off the repeat option.

Even still, bb10 shuffle seems to prioritize songs/artists/albums that you recently listened to. But if you turn of the repeat option, it should only put the songs in the shuffle once

    Might be forgetting a few.. 7280 >7290 > 8310 + 8130 + 8220 > 9000 + 8900 > 9700 + 9800 + 9100 > 9780 + 9810 + 9900 > playbook > z10 > PassportSQW100-1/10.3.2.2639

Yeah the music player sucks. I now notice when I play a track and lock my screen, and if I decide to go to another track towards the end of the song, I can't go back. I have to close completely out and go back in. It wasn't this way until the latest update.
