I am a Newbee to the BlackBerry and to discussion forums but...

This morning I checked my Yahoo acount on the BB and an email that wants you to click on an undescript link came up. I did not click on the link but the email was able to get my contact list and sent the same email to all of my contacts.
    I have two questions
Is there any way that my BB is comprimised?
Is ther any way to stop these emails from reaching my BB?

Is your contact list the same on you yahoo account.

Also look at this.... I think it highly unlikely.

Yea sure sounds like a worm got triggered. More likely on your home PC, but I guess anything is possible. I have heard it is difficult to infect a BB, but my knowledge in this area is limited.

It IS hard to infect a BlackBerry and if it has happened, this is most worrying. I hope that this is not the case. I also think that it was pretty brave of the OP to post what happened too. Thanks.

Ya like Pete said it's would be very odd to see it happen, but in today's world anything can happen...

Since you said it went to the yahoo contacts and it came thru your yahoo email. I also agree if basically hijacked you yahoo email, not the device it self. I would put the device out of it... you main yahoo account is what is messed up by this....

Unless, did they receive the email from your device, did it contain your signature from your berry?

That I am not sure of.

I will make some calls to find out.

Lucky for me one of my friends got it first and sent out a reply all email letting everyone know not to open it.

It actually had my first name in the subject line.

And it's open to everyone now. I remember when it first came out, you only had like 3 invitations to send out.
