Recently, I upgraded my BB8820 OS from 4.2 to 4.5. All went well except that the service books are missing after the upgrade. According to Singtel and many other threads from the forum, I can only re-install the service books via BIS. For me, this is a problem.

I do not have any BIS subscription and I do not intend to get one. However, I would definitely like to have my SINGTEL service books back.

Can any forum member help me with this? Perhaps a kind soul can back up his/her SINGTEL service books and post it online...

How did you have your service books previously without a BB data plan?

Aren't Service Books unique to the account holder? You may have to get a BIS account (at least for a short time) to get the Service Books.

When I first get the BB from SINGTEL, all the service books are preloaded. I guess it is some sort of value-added service from SINGTEL. It simply puzzles me why can't SINGTEL continue with this value-added service...

Odds are the service books were remotely sent on first activation.
