    Hi,

How do you upgrade the OS on an unlocked BB without a leaked OS? Can someone just plug in the BB and use the desktop software to upgrade it? Also, say someone buys a Curve 9320, or 9380, and uses it unlocked, on a carrier that doesn't sell that model, how does one upgrade the OS then? If a BB is unlocked and you check for updates using the desktop software, will it just grab the latest from RIM's server?

I am guessing you can just update it the normal way, through the desktop software. Try it.

Can't you download the official from whatever carrier you are using it on and delete the vendor.xml files?

Then install as normal using desktop manager.

Why not use a leaked OS? There is absolutely no difference between the leaked and 'official' except a carrier has approved a leaked for their customers. This way you can use any OS for whatever BB you have.

    1) Download the official ROM from any carrier
    2) Install it on your computer
    3) Delete vendor.xml files
    4) Launch AppLoader
    5) Plug in and follow instructions

You should have it installed in less than an hour.
