Is the BB pin number linked to the BB itself or to the BB data plan? I plan to exchange my curve for the same model but a newer one since these is some flaws with mine, however, i already gave a lot of people my pin number and don't want to do through the hassle of giving it out again.

Its linked to your phone directly. If you get a new blackberry then you will have to give everyone your new PIN.

Always make a note of your PIN, then if your BB is stolen you can get CB members to spam the PIN...

Yeah. Unless it was mugged from you, I don't think they'd settle for a normal reward.
The first thing I'd do if I stole a phone is change the SIM. The beauty of PIN is that you can still contact the thief :D
