BB Messenger help!!!!!

OK i have read how to add contacts to messenger but either phone is not correct or i am missing something.
turn on wifi
click bb messenger
click contacts
menu + add contact
Select use once
i can only type in a PIN
no request by email???????

What am i doing wrong???

I'm not sure why you are turning on wifi. Open BBM>Menu>Add A Contact> enter the PIN and make sure PIN is highlighted>And click OK. Once the other person accepts, they will be on your list.
You can add contacts by email also, but I do not do it that way.
