    hello everyone

i currently own a 8520 and it is slowly dying on me. my contract is running out around october and look forward in getting the bold touch before i get the bold touch, i have the possibility to get a 9780 or 9700 for very cheap at almost the same price (9780 a little bit expensiver). which of the 2 can you recommend?

    Thanks

9780 has more memory which is never a bad thing. If its not too much more for you to spend I'd go wth the 9780.

If it is almost the same price I am sure most of us will recommend the 9780. Unless the 9700 is running on S 5.0 because some hate 6.0 so much. Look at the 9780 as the next logical step to the 9900

If moneys not an issue then go for the 9780 for sure. You could probably save a few bucks by getting the 9700 which would easily hold you over for 6+ months.

Obviously the 9700. If you're looking to use one for the next 2 years, then the 9780. Use the money you save from getting the 9700 instead of 9780 to go into your "Bold Touch Fund" Not much of a difference between the two, to be honest. the 9780 doesn't even have 802.11n module for it's Wi-Fi.

Also, it's not just "a few bucks" between the 9700 and 9780 at this point in time.

The only difference between the 9780 and 9700 is more ram and a better camera. They both use the exact same processor. I find OS 6 to run very smooth on the 9780, probably due to the extra ram. With all my apps installed I had about 248MB of free space left.

I mean how much more money are we talking compared to the 9700? If a lot more, save and go with the 9700, load os6 up on it and enjoy. If it is a few bucks more hit up the 9780.
