Does leaving your Bluetooth enable when not using your Bluetooth kill your battery life?

I have heard that it does but am not sure.
Let's wait a bit and someone would confirm.

Bluetooth on is not a huge battery eater, but it does drain it slightly faster. Having a connection going is a pretty good drain. I leave bleutooth on almost constantly, and just turn my headset on & off as needed.

I keep it on all the time, as well as the phone on all the time. Now I usually start talking / emailing by 630am and I am on it nonstop until about 430pm each day. When I get home, I have 4 bars of battery left. So to me, I have not noticed any effect on keeping the bluetooth on all the time.

I usually leave my bluetooth on full time as I have it in my car and a earpiece. Since the battery "topped off" it is still holding a decent charge. Last night before I plugged it in for the night the battery was at 80%.

Yes, there is. Someone recommended one to me, the Seidio. You can see them in the Crackberry store.

My battery life has improved but I still have 3 weeks on my "trial". I am going to call my salesperson and ask him if the battery is defective.

Bluetooth when in use is a battery killer. Yes there are plenty of extended batteries I use the seidio one that ruby mentioned.

Leaving your Bluetooth enabled, whether you're connected to another device or not, eats up battery. Definitely a good idea to turn it off when you're not using it, at least if you're concerned with battery life.

Glad to see the search function being useful for once. Thanks for the info everyone! I think I'll leave mine enabled and see what happens to my battery life.

I've never really took notice to it. I don't believe it does
