I just got the curve 8330 and I accidently plugged it into a motorola charger. It fit and I thought it was the one but when I checked on it later I realized that it was my husband's charger for his phone, so, I found my charger and plugged it into my phone and now I am worried that I may have messed up my phone due to what is said in the manual. What do you all think?

The mini-USB style chargers will generally work on all mini-USB devices but maybe not as well as their native ones. Some have higher or lower output and thus might overcharge or undercharge or charge too slow.

But in terms of damage as long as it was meant for another phone you didn't cause any harm. I've seen some mini-USB for GPS devices that had higher current output that I wouldn't leave connected to my BB for extended periods of time.

i regularly charge mine with my Motorola S9 headset charger
The USB specs call for a max of 500ma at 5 volts, so all chargers should provide something close to that.
All phones nowadays have smart chargers built in that manage the charging current and time of the battery, so it is impossible to overcharge or damage it in any way. the most negative effects you can have is an increased charging time if the adapter does not output enough current.
