Well I feel kind of dumb...

I've updated my Blackberry's OS many times but this is the first time I have run into a problem. When I run apploader, it gives me a list of apps that I have, then I press next and it gives me this screen -

I know that I have the OS installed on my computer and it's not the same OS that is on my phone (I'm running 6.0.0.526 and upgrading to 6.0.0.546).

Anyone know what the problem could be?

so, when u navigate to program files/common files/research in motion/shared/loader files you have a 6.0.0.526 folder and a .546 folder?

honestly, i would uninstall .526 and .546 from the computer, reinstall .546 to the computer, reboot computer, delete vendor file, and then try again.

are you using windows 7? i had a weird problem once where i had three vendor files that were only viewable in "compatibility mode" or something. it caused the same issue. i just did a deep search for all vendor.xml files, deleted them, then it worked.

I don't suppose it has anything to do with the name of the file? I ask because this is the only one that looks rather obscure...all the other ones I've installed look relatively normal.

I am on Windows 7, yes. I didn't have any problem deleting the vendor.xml file, but I'll try to search it and see if anything comes up from that...

Ah it works. I did a search for "vendor.xml" and there was a file hiding from me somewhere! Thanks for your time, you were most helpful!
