    Hi,

I am planning a cross country trip across the United States and I wanted to know if there was an application that tracks my progress through a "bread crumb" feature.

    Example (please see map):
    Frugal Traveler: American Road Trip

    thank you!

you might take a look at GPSLogger...it has the "bread crumb" capability and you can use it as an overlay on other map apps if i am not mistaken.

Why don't you just leave real bread crumbs? It worked for Hansel and Gretel didn't it?

I've got GPSLogger. It will do what you want. You can even view the elevations traveled as well.

I use a program called GPS tracker. It's a free app which sends your GPS location every x seconds (you decide) to "instamapper," an on-line mapping site. Your location, speed, elevation, etc. are all recorded on the map.
