I was just trying to update my blackberry pearl 8310 when it stopped on step 10 of 11. In the details it shows waiting for device initialization. Does anyone know how I get past this so that I can have my phone back and working like it was with all the information that was on it previously? Please help me.

The good news is, that is normal. The bad news, you ran out of patience in the process.

It can take an extended amount of time to make that final connection. Best advise I can offer, walk away and come back in 30 min.

That is substantial, but don't interrupt it. If you do, you will have to start over again.
