IF RIM were to spend the time to create a voice assistant, before uninstalling it I would probably hope I could choose different voice packs/name packs like you can on TomTom GPS's

I predict that in 5 years SIRI will be completely forgotten. It is an obnoxious feature that is only fun for about 15 minutes and annoys everyone around it.

Kind of like Nextel phones whose users have ZERO clue how to use them.

I just dont understand why you need to dictate a text to someone, its a bloody phone, if you want to use voice, phone them!!!

I guess it could be handy in the car, "call home" or whatever, but voice dialling has been around for years and works fine, dont see why it needed changing..

On the plus side it'll make gathering office gossip easier as people dictate their dodgy texts (still waiting for the first news story where siri drops someone in it )

Who is actually dictating anything to Siri in an office setting? Everyone I know uses it in the car, at home, and maybe a little at the gym when your hands aren't free.

I haven't seen one person walking around talking to an iphone 4s in say Target, in line at Starbucks, or in the grocery store.
