Well, this may sound silly but, there is already an app on the Blackberry called Voice Dialer. yes, really. It's been there since OS4.

That made me laugh out loud. Then I remembered having to wait eight minutes to use my old Storm 2 after a battery pull. =-O

I still like Kevin. They could even have an on-screen avatar rocking a PB on a gold chain. ;-)

I read an article somewhere that the Apple's final terminology for Siri is "Assistant". Siri is in beta and the name of the original brand even though Apple acquired them.

and i really hope rim is working on some sort of intelligent voice app. vlingo is not one bit intelligent it just works on predetermined keywords. then again it probably won't happen. rim sucks at anything related to end consumer experience they should just become an it security company or something. leave consumer experience to the pros

Completely agree, lasted 5 mins on mine...

I just dont understand why you need to dictate a text to someone, its a bloody phone, if you want to use voice, phone them!!!

I guess it could be handy in the car, "call home" or whatever, but voice dialling has been around for years and works fine, dont see why it needed changing..

On the plus side it'll make gathering office gossip easier as people dictate their dodgy texts (still waiting for the first news story where siri drops someone in it )
