As the title suggests, anyone thinking of buying both devices at launch?
I'm confused. I can't do without the qwerty, but I like the full touch design as well.
So I'm leaning towards buying both devices. Anyone else or am I the only fool here?
Probably both, but availability of these devices are still a question mark...in any country and any carrier, so I would hold my horses and simply enjoy the previews first...
I currently carry a black & white bold 9900, one for personal & one for business.
The plan was to get the full touch for personal, and the qwerty for business, but after seeing Blackberry Balance (which is practically like having TWO phones one), that has now thrown plans out the window *thanks thorsten*
My only concern is, I hope the qwerty doesn't out shine the full touch if its launched after, examples from past blackberry devices maybe:
Flagship device is missing out on features that lower end devices may support:
I definitely plan on buying both. I can't go without my keyboard so I will use that for business but being as how the full touch is coming put first, they keyboard may win me over depending on ease of use. Either way after watching the all these BlackBerry Jam videos showcasing BB10, I think I I'm going to be a big big fan of the full touch device. Not a fool, Supreme Multitasking, haha.
I'm more strongly drawn to the keyboard - I have my PB as touchscreen so don't really need the screen real-estate, and my sausage fingers are not designed for phone-screen typing!
I'll probably be able to hold fire until the qwerty version is released.
Right now I use my Playbook to type out emails on the run, since the keyboard on the 9860 is not working well. I'll hold out for a qwerty, just so I can compare the two before I shell out the money.

Not that I will get a BB10 at the release, but I guess I will be in the same boat. I will get the keyboard version and if I need more screen, just do "view on" with the PlayBook.
The reason I asked this is because I'm seriously tempted with the Lumia 800. For some reason I love the Windows Phone OS. And since its full touch, I was debating should I buy it now to play around with (most probably won't even put a SIM card in it), or just wait and buy a full touch BB10 and a QWERTY BB10.
Maybe just buy the the Lumia now and sell when BB10 drops. Will just take a $200 hit but that's worth it to play around for a few months of playing around.
Thanks. I thought I was the only one with that thought. I will get a new phone connection just for the two phones. If only I could have my BBID active on two devices at the same time.
Since I am very happy with my 9930 right now, I will probably get the Touch only phone and switch back to the 9930 if I know I will need the keyboard for an extended period of time (business travel or something like that).
I'm seriously thinking of getting both, if there is no slider.
I'd like to be able to swap depending on what my day is going to be like.
Touchscreen for weekends and hockey road trips, better for playing games and this is when I'd need a phone to be a time killer.
Keyboard for the work week, not because I feel the touchscreen will be less productive, but because I will feel more inclined to play with my phone instead of work.
If I hear tell of a slider being released, the two device purchase plan goes straight out the window.
Always thought I would most definitely go for the qwerty device.. But all those previews have me very curious for an all touch device as well. But since I cannot get a new device in 2013, I'll just keep al my options open!
I'm gonna buy both because I'm just a maniac like that. I havent seen the QWERTY version but the full touch looks so sick im ready to take the plunge and see if I can do full touch.
