just activated this phone coming over from an LG EnV Touch. I was wondering what my gps options are. i'm directionally challenged and VZNav was a big help... I downloaded the google maps app but it doesn't really have a gps function... any good options on this device?
You don't specify your carrier, but if you have a Verizon 8830, you can get VZNav for it for an additional $10/month. Other carriers have their own options. Verizon only enables the internal GPS for use with BBMaps, VZNav, Bing, and their social networking app. If there are any other apps, I'm unaware of them. Other carriers enable the GPS for Google Maps, but Verizon does not.
