UK user - We are looking at a blackberry 9300 3G for a teenager. (�12.99 per month with 150Min/250text/500Mb internet and unlimited Blackberry mail and messenger)
My question - BBM looks like it would be included in the above but what is blackberry mail? When you sign up for a BB do you get a blackberry email address? Is this different to the BBM name/user number?
You don't get a BlackBerry email address. It means that you can use any email addresses that you may have with the device. The emails are received on the device using a 'push' system, so when an email is sent it is immediately received on the device.
BBM is simply an instant messaging service, it is not related to email in any way.
12.99 is a really good deal. The latest curves are being released in the UK now, very slowly. But my wife has had a 9300 for a while now and there are no complaints.
With BB mail you do get a new blackberry email address that only exists on the phone, on orange it will be @blackberry.orange.co.uk on vodafone it's @mobileemail.vodafone.net
This email address you can change any time you want.
