I was looking at android watches and the 'download a watch face app' on google play store. Some of the watch face apps say they are compatible with all my devices HTC One, Note, and Z30... is that right? Can you pair and android watch with a BB10 device?

You sure you didn't misread that as Z3 as in Xperia Z3?

It's compatible spec-wise, but that doesn't mean it will actually function. Because you are violating the Google Play TOS by accessing the Play Store via your BB Z30, the Play Store assumes that you are using a device with official Google Play Services support. You aren't. So, you have to anticipate that some things aren't going to be accurate. This is one of them.

Any Android Gear device requires full Google Play Services support.

I have recently bought a Casio EQB-500 (I know it's not Android) and it doesn't pair with the Z30 using vendors Casio+ Android application.

It seems that the App is not very good, even pure Android devices have problems pairing with this watch.

Ya, what Troy said. Minus the whole nonsense about violating TOS lol. It's because you're using Snap and your device now shows up as a registered one on Google Play.

He's right that its violating Google TOS. But its unrelated to the compatibility or this post

    ROTO360
    Requires Android
    2.2 and up

Other watchfaces require Android 4.0 or 4.3 or 4.4 and up. I dont know what version of Android the runtime is on, but thats most likely the reason.

Violating the TOS doesn't in itself make the smartwatch incompatible, but it does explain why the Z30 is listed as "compatible" with some apps that work in conjunction with specific smartwatches even if the watch itself doesn't work with the Z30.
