I want to get a Blackberry Bold. Amazon is offering a Bold for $149 with a 2 year contract. The price seems GREAT however I am not sure if Amazon is a good place to purchase my new Blackberry. Has anyone ever ordered a cell phone from them?

My friend bought his Curve and his girlfriends Pearl off of amazon a few months back.
Well if you're buying it directly from Amazon I think their years in the internet business speaks for itself. I don't think you'd get hosed by Amazon. But let's see if anyone has had bad experiences with them in this thread.
My brother in law ordered his curve 8330 off of amazon.
It arrived a month later with a defective battery and a scratched up screen.
But this is an isolated incident as I have bought my 8100 from amazon and it came a week later in flawless condition.
I got a bold from an att store and they matched the amazon price. Try that if you want the bold.

I think the thing to remember whether it be from amazon, ebay, or wherever is that the product description will or should tell the condition of the item(s). Therefore giving us as buyers the option as to whether or not we wanna purchase them. With that being said there are people who will try to deceive you just to make a sell. BUYER BEWARE...
Remember that in most of these cases Amazon is just the go-between. They connect you to a lot of third-party vendors, and it's the reputation of those vendors you need to concern yourself with. Make sure you read the fine print on all the agreements involved.
Love amazon!
