You can go into App World and search for individual AM stations that broadcast over the internet as well. 77 WABC out of New York City has its own app. If the AM station that you listen to is a ClearChannel station, you can download the iHeartRadio app.

    Flycast covers some AM.

You may also want to look at Welcome | Yourmuze.FM

    Where are you located?

I really like Yourmuze.FM: you can select many stations, from cities all over, all in one easy to get too site, and don't have to have "apps" for each station. It's never let me down. (Except for Clear Channel, which makes you get their bloated iheartradio application to get their stations, including AM.)

Community radio should also broadcast via AM since it's low power and better signal quality, but most devices of today really interfere with it ALLOT. Think LCD/Plasma screens... Ballasts in CFL's too.
