One thing I like about rogers in Canada. Is I plug in phone, log on to online help, tell guy to fix it, go get a copy and he's done.

I was helping a friend of mine with the same problem several weeks ago.
The problem is a faulty motherboard. There's nothing you can do about it. The device is fried.
Trust me, I was trying to bring it to life during 3 days, and nothing worked.
And the case was exactly yours, stuck on 70% loading.

    Sorry about it.

Well, it doesn't hurt trying to reload the OS. It's not guaranteed that the OP is having the same problem your friend was.

OP, you should be able to "Restore to factory conditions" in BlackBerry Desktop Manager. Plug in the phone and open BDM, then click Restore. This will reload the operating system. If you had any data on the phone then you won't be able to get it back.

I don't know. Soounds like it might be shot. Maybe you should upgrade to a BB10 phone. If you like the touchscreen I suggest the Z10. They're getting quite a bit cheaper now.

You can try a "disaster recovery" (you will loose all data on the device):

Download the latest OS for your device. BlackBerry - Desktop & Device Software Download Sites for BlackBerry users - US - choose your carrier and then device.

Watch this guide (have not completely seen all of it, but it looked correct).
Do as started in the guide.

You cannot harm your device more that it is at the present, so go ahead!
