Have t-mobile and can't get my q10 (really any GSM I use with it) to share its internet to a tablet. Any time I try and turn on hotspot functionality it says it has been disabled by the carrier. I remember back in the Z10/Playbook days it used to function flawlessly with bridge.

Is there a technology that will replicate that or should I start playbook hunting? Our internet service at home has been reduced to our cell phones...

Hey Old_mil, I'm curious what t-mo plan you have that Hotspot doesn't work or is restricted.
I have one line on the $40 prepaid plan and 5 lines on an old 1000 min/unlimited text plan (thanks to Norriscell years ago). two of five lines have the $10/$20 2gb/5gb BIS plan and two lines with the free BlackBerry Messenger add on.

I can Hotspot with any of the lines with data and no restrictions

The 4 for 120 plan is looking really nice, but, if there are restrictions, I'd just keep what is in place now.

We have the simple choice unlimited 4g LTE family plan

Edit: just tried it, and it seems to be working now...

Good stuff. Otherwise tweet John Legere and tell him off... ;-P

Freedom and access is his own mantra, isn't it...?
