Does anyone know if BB will work onBoard cruise ship from Vancouver BC to Juneau & return? Obviously, no towers out there. Also, roaming charges off Canada - but then back in 'states' after we get off shore Alaska.

Has anyone had any experience up on a cruise like this? Thanks..

I had my cruise on the same course and I had no problem at all.

I have no input to add -- except to say that it sounds like an amazing cruise! I hope you enjoy it. :-)

It costs a good deal of cash money for the signal repeaters on the boat, suggestion, let your BB rest and enjoy the cruise.

Depending on the line, there are cell towers on the ship, but they run at an average of $2.99/minute roaming for voice access.

Most carriers have no problem in any of the port towns on most itineraries. Haines and Icy Strait Point are two areas where some carriers may go onto roaming, however. But the usual suspects of Juneau, Ketchikan, Skagway and Sitka have good coverage.

I had a cruise from Durban/Sourh Africa up to Mozambique and they had NO reception there. It was a hard time.
    But I actually enjoyed it.
