Quite a few have long advocated for BB producing a separate Consumer line, in addition to their historic Enterprise oriented offerings. Transition coordination was excruciatingly poorly executed but here we are. From here, BB must grow. Consumer markets are the big numbers. There's no shortage of theories about why BB isn't capturing consumers. Fortunately BB still commands some attention in enterprise markets. Enterprises command disproportionate attention from carriers. BB can still leverage their position with enterprise to help break the "Carrier Barrier". IMO. Q20 offers possibilities for assisting BB's growth in ways disproportionate to the actual number of Q20's sold. IMO.
I haven't read the 13 pages before me so apologise now if this ground is already covered. The main issue with BBOS in the next few years will be carriers support for BIS. In the US it seems the big players want out, perhaps just to simplify their systems. I have a koodoo prepay right now due to very little cell coverage of any type but they do not have support for BIS on prepaid at all.
If I have to use wifi only, not even BBM will work on BBOS. With BB10 I am covered with koodoo data and wifi for BBM.
The writing appears to be on the wall except in Asia and Africa.

Would be nice if they would make the classic dual boot into BBOS or have it run in a virtualization within BB10 until they get it right.

Good idea but I'm not sure if it is practical or not. Coz I honestly believe that the BlackBerry 9900 was a great phone but the OS ia just too heavy for its hardware specs.

So if they build the classic with like a quad core processor and 2 GB Ram with a minimum of 16 GB built in memory I think it will fly.

    What do you guys think?

I would rather have more ram than anything else. Decent camera front and back. If the battery non removable, have it where it can charge from 5% to 90% less than 30 minutes

Nope. BB's Java OS doesn't know how to use it.

It only will see 1 core. It doesn't know how to use any more.

They would of made a 9900 with dual cores if they could but it can't.

I'm no expert but an OS is just a bunch of code, code that can be re-written to use a second core if they so desired.

They did rewrite all the code. It's called BlackBerry 10.
