I happened to notice today that I had one duplicate entry in my address book. One instance of the entry was in the correct location in the alphabetical list (the middle of the T's) and the other instance was at the very beginning of the list.

My first response was to try deleting the entry at the beginning of the list. This succeeded in deleting both entries.

I tried adding the entry back, and it created two copies, with one at the top of the list.

I then deleted again, changed my setting for allow duplicate names from yes to no, then tried adding again, with the same result.

Next I tried a quickpull, but both entries are still there.

I don't know how long the duplicate has been there, but the only things I have done recently are upgrading quickpull, and installing pocketinformant. Given that pocketinformant interacts with the address book, I'm guessing that is my most likely suspect...but I would expect to see other contacts doing the same thing.

    I am on a pearl 8110 running AT&T official 4.5.

Anyone else seen unusual behavior like this?

    Thanks,
