Like what? Out of the blue or after you have too many apps running?

You can only have 8 active frames open at any time. So when you open a ninth and then swipe up to close it, the first App you opened would automatically close.

This is a wild shot, but you may have a headless app that's running in the background which might be interfering with your other opened apps... Likewise, have you tried soft-resetting your phone (Hold up and down volume buttons for 10 seconds will restart)

This is surprisingly a feature I never got using very often max 2 frames open and closed very shortly after.

Maybe a BlackBerry feature that kills apps that are using too much juice when in an active frame? Only possibility that I could think of. I haven't had it happen to me, but I usually close my apps when I'm done with them.

This will happen if your phone runs low on RAM. The four frames you had open must have been using the majority of your device's RAM, so when the active app requested more memory, the system had to shut another down. I find the browser causes this quite often, even more so if you have flash enabled.

Unfortunately, I have seen a lot of complains like this, they say they just have BBM open and suddenly it closes on its own.

The phone should show a warning if an app is using more than 400 MB of Ram so that people don't think it's a software issue.

    Same problem here :/

My active frames might include browser (2-5 tabs open), FB, data usage app, calendar & music, for example... never more than 5 or 6 total... and the sudden closure is becoming a daily occurrence / nuisance.
    Help?

I just tried it and they all remained open. 4 active frames (FB, twitter, CB and bbm). I left it for about 45 mins. Leaked .2142

    Questions:

    1. When was the last time you rebooted your device? Battery pull

    2. When running these apps, have you checked your cpu usage? A couple of folks mentioned it, so it would wise too check.

    3. Do have a battery saver app running on your device?

    4. Where's your battery life when experiencing this?

Been reading this thread and this is happening to me also. It's happened to me 3 or 4 times in the last few days. I have a Z30 with latest Rogers OS. Just now what happened was, I had Facebook, Crackberry, browser (5 tabs open),kijiji.
I got a message so I switched over to hub to read message. Swiped out of hub and everything was gone but browser. So I went back to open CB and searched some forums swiped out of CB and browser was gone. Couple seconds later CB shut down. Very annoying. Like I said 3 or 4 this week.
