What ever, it's the holidays seems like a normal thing to do almost all the other brands have some kind of deal to offer right now.

That's not really an indication of sales as other brands traditionally offer discounts around this time of year. The ER is in 3 days. I'm sure we will have a good indication of Priv sales then.

Or maybe it's just a bad sign about accessory sales?

You hit it in the head! If the accessories are not moving you bundle the items with the big item to entice sales and more inventory that isnot moving
OP doesn't understand how a business works.
The SE was doomed since its launch. I got all the goodies from BBRY for free :)

such a double standard since its just accessories, id be more concerned with a price drop. Best part about this topic considering they are offering the same accessories for other devices it would be the opposite type of post being made for double standard that they didn't include the priv in these type of freebies for accessories. This could also be viewed in 2 ways sales for the device or sales for the accessories being the problem, i'd take the accessories as the case they gave me i don't like one bit and the same verdict is around alot of places.
Bundling accessories is much better than a price cut.
Hard to believe anyone on this site would ever interpret neutral Priv information as negative /s

Bundling smartphones accessories is a common method to promote sales - especially during the holidays where sales and promos galore. Not sure why the op thinks otherwise.
Not really. You figure that if you sell it for 700, you might as well give them free accessories that cost them $1 to make

It's a great way to bolster year end sales without having to take a writeoff for discounting the actual phones.

OP should learn about marketing before they come to such conclusions.
I'm quite sure that OP are 100% incorrect.
Now if BlackBerry discounted the device then I'm sure the media would be all over it saying PRIV prices slashed due to low demand.
Giving free accessories is the best way to give a promotion without having to discount, like earlier posts have said.
