Is the office wifi using a security protocol that's not supported by the blackberry? A lot of offices that I've worked in (I'm a PC Tech) use additional encryption beyond the standard.
There are enterprise level ones (Cisco EAP/LEAP) as an example, that require software (like the Intel ProSet) to connect.
If you can check, they may also have a black/white list of Mac addresses setup in the router. IE: If you're on the list, you get in, If not, you don't get assigned an IP address, and it's useless at that point.
