My 9530's screen periodically goes out and is usually fixed by a battery pull. It's two years old and short of replacing it what can i do? The screen is currently out now, and I am wondering if I can load a new OS with out a fully functioning screen, maybe that would help it. I'm currently running .419. Thanks.
What are the circumstances causing the screen to go out? On my 9530 (running .419) it's usually during a phone call, and usually when it has been in bedside mode prior to the phone ringing. If you don't want to go to the trouble of a battery pull, try simply powering the phone off by pressing and holding the end call button, waiting for the lights behind the buttons to go out, then pressing the end call button again to turn the phone on. That works for me.
