I was just on eBay and was lookin at sdhc cards I need a lot of storage because I am a ring tone fanattict every one in my phone has their own assigned ring tone I found a 8GBHC and under compatible devices it listed the BlackBerry 8130 has anyone tried this type card yet I know mis prints or typos happen on eBay sometimes so am I the first ginipig on the 8GB card?
The size of the card is not driven by the phone but the OS.
These are the limits:
BlackBerry Device Software 4.2.0 Up to 2 GB
BlackBerry Device Software 4.2.1 Up to 4 GB
BlackBerry Device Software 4.2.2 Up to 4 GB
BlackBerry Device Software 4.3.0 Up to 8 GB
BlackBerry Device Software 4.5.0 Up to 8 GB
BlackBerry Device Software 4.5.0.81 and later Up to 16 GB
BlackBerry Device Software 4.6.0 and later Up to 32 GB
OS 4.6 runs oly on 9000 series phones. Even then it is not sure (until we get our hands on one) that the 32 GB card will, in fact run. There have been conflicting reports as to wether the top limit is 16 or 32 Gb. I know what the chart says but there have been quotes in reviews that talk about 16 Gb as being the max.
In any event, none of this is applicable to your phone becasue it does not run OS 4.6.
Rumor has it that OS 4.5.0.93 (or better) will be released for your phone. This will give you 16Gb.
