i dont know what forum it was that i seen a discussion about the new os and battery life decreasing. i did a search here and cant pull up anything so i ask again.

i had the verizon wireless stock os on this for about a week or so and and got great battery life, but after the new 4.5.0.51 install the battery drains about twice as fast. anyone else notice a decrease in the battery after upgtrading to a new os.

yes, I'm running the .51 on an 8830 on vzw. My BB now needs to be charged every day, sometimes twice a day where before I could go almost 2 days.

This is why (hopefully) it's still a beta...here's wishing the release version fixes this and the memory leak.

I'm not getting as much out of my battery with 4.5.0.44 either.

I thought I was losing my mind. I swore that my battery life was worse now that I have .51 and it looks like I'm not the only one. With moderate to low usage, I am left with about 50% by the end of the day.

mine is a little bit worse, but not much
after 20 or 30 texts i have 80% battery life from 100%. But before the Upgrade, I never went passed 100% after that many texts.
