I recently bought my first BB with Verizon. WHen I first started using the phone it said 1XEV, recently it only reads 1X. I believe this started after I stopped by the Verizon store due to a SMS texting problem. They made a change on the computer there and since then it only reads 1X. What is the difference?

1x = regular data
1X = regular data, BB data
1xev = EVDO data
1XEV = EVDO data, BB data - Normal data services. High speed.

If it showed 1XEV I would want that back because EV will give you way better data speeds.
