I know that at the moment the only 3G blackberry is the Bold. Javelin is coming out soon and the flip 8220 is already out - what's the real reason why RIM don't do 3G phones? It is so freaken dumb. All mobile phone companies now make 3G phones accept for RIM.

Initially it was because the technology was relatively new and not very widespread to justify the extra cost on their end for the manufacturing. Since the Bold has 3G it would be safe to say anything newer will also have it.

The verizon 8330 is 3g. I think the cdma 3g networks cover just bout every ware. Its the gsm networks (or what ever it is) that are pretty new with patchy coverage.

My Sprint Curve is capable of EVDO. Which I guess is considered 3G. It's pretty fast.
