loooooooooooooooooooooooooool epic
They are sought after phones. I am not a criminal but I could sell all 2700. They sell themselves.
*Contradiction. If someone offered me a 9810 for $50 I would buy it....so would the majority.
They are probably going to be sold overseas anyway.
I feel sorry for the people who will get screwed over since the IMEI or PIN's are blocked. No data. :(

I work like a 5 minute drive from there... need to be on the lookout for guys selling at the side of the road :P
But seriously, this is going to make it tough for people trying to legitimately sell phones online.
Ironically more stolen BBs = more business for RIM = more profit for RIM?
thats quite true because it wasnt stolen from RIM. it was stolen from someone that has already bought from RIM.
Someone would have purchased the device even if it wasn't stolen.
They are 99% for sure being sent out of country.
The only way these guys will get caught is if the ports are being watched. No one is stupid enough to sell phones stolen in such a large quantity locally.
Also a high probability this was an inside job. Not exactly easy to steal 2700 phones in one shot unless you knew how everything at said warehouse worked.
Insurance is going to cover their losses anyway...so the only one's really hurt by this is the insurance company and the warehouse owners who are going to have to pay higher insurance premiums.
Well what I suggest is buy a device only from a vendor who is verified and is willing to send you a valid bill of sale. That ways you will be safe from any fraudulent activity.
even if they will keep them for some time.. people will buy it sooner or later..
Once they find that data is blocked from working, or the police bust them from unknowingly possessing stolen smartphones, either way, we're going to see threads in the 9900/9930 forums asking for help.. Then we'll have to break it to them.

i guess the cry for help will be on the 9810 forum.
not here probably.:rolleyes::rolleyes:
Mississauga Article: Two charged in BlackBerry theft
2 men charged with connections to the stolen phones.
Idiots. Glad they caught them.
