The iPhone X will continue to get support and software updates through 2022 (and possibly longer), while the KEYone may get security updates through the end of 2018, but no guarantees.

But with one you could buy a massive data plan with the difference (or maybe a satellite phone if you go in remote areas.)

In case they don't make one in 2019, buy iPhone X. I'm sure the price will be much less than what it is priced now.
